With great pride and pleasure, we introduce the much-anticipated Freestone Private Collection wines.

As stewards of Freestone Vineyards, we are committed to crafting wines that authentically reflect the structure, balance and complexity inherent in Sonoma Coast terroir, and these three inaugural wines represent the realization of a goal many years in the planning.

Our first 2005 Freestone Pinot Noir is truly representative of the rugged Sonoma Coast where Freestone is located. While the 2005 vintage was challenging with extremely low yields, we were able to create a wine that is rich in both color and subtle tannin, while offering an elegant, aromatic bouquet of black cherries, allspice, forest floor and creamy oak.

The inaugural 2005 Fogdog Chardonnay is a delicious wine, providing a preview of what is to come from this exciting new vineyard. The Chardonnay offers a rich mix of flavors including lemon zest, fig, and spice characteristic of the region. The mineral notes provide a nice, rounded structure and an intensity that persists on the palate.

This is our second year of creating Fogdog Pinot Noir from the Freestone Vineyards. The 2005 vintage produced a fresh, vibrant Pinot Noir with lively spices and wild strawberry flavors that linger on the palate. The tannin and acidity are well balanced and provide a structure that will help this wine age nicely in the bottle.

These wines are extremely limited and new memberships will be accepted only while supplies last. When the 2005 Freestone wines run out, Freestone Collection members will be prioritized on the waiting list for the 2006 releases.
