led us to the Sonoma Coast area, specifically to the hills near Freestone. In 1999, two properties were purchased and one property was leased, all within the Freestone area. Under an established partnership named New West LLC, development of approximately acres of vineyards on the three properties began in 1999.

Two of the three properties are located along Freestone Flat Road where 19 acres of Chardonnay and 40 acres of Pinot Noir have been planted.

The third property is a 90 acre parcel approximately 1/4 mile west of Freestone Flat Road, known locally as Quail Hill. Development of 40 acres of Pinot Noir on Quail Hill has begun and will be completed in 2001. While all three properties are located within the Sonoma Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA), the two properties situated along Freestone Flat Road are also contained within the smaller, Russian River AVA.
